Junkie XL Radio

Junkie XL is Tom Holkenborg, an electronic music artist and producer whose credits include Sasha's debut album, "Airdrawndagger."  He's done some incredible work, and most recently he launched his very own Internet radio station from the Computer Hell Cabin in Amsterdam.  I like to let it play in the background while I tool around on the web, and I've included this link in case you want to check it out.  I highly recommend this--it's a breath of fresh air.

Scot Porter

This guy's a nut.  I used to work with him in the mail room at Chapman.

Todd Luoto

Winner of the 2002 Cinetech Award, Todd Luoto used his scholarship to film "Sibling," a dark comedy about a narcissist who falls in love with his twin sister.  Follow this link to read the short script.

David Malki

I produced this dude's Location Filmmaking project at Chapman University.  Now he's running guns on the Internet.  Check it out.  You can also see my profile on his site at http://deathmonkeybdm.tripod.com/deathmonkey/id12.html.

Wondermark

David Malki's comic strip, published on the web.  I must say, it's genuinely funny!  If you want to be like me, you'll join the mailing list.

In other news, Wondermark has just been picked up by NewsFish.co.uk, the soon-to-be-launched entertainment zine out of Great Britain.  (Congratulations, Dave!)

Bam Margera

Bam and I were both born on September 28, 1979--the exact same day and year.  Only he has an Audi A4 and is known around the world for his CKY videos and skating abilities.

Rake Yohn

If you watch the CKY videos, you may recognize this crazy, long-haired psycho.  What you may not know is that he's actually a chemist.  And he hates mustard and period blood.

Jed the Fish

Those of you who live in the Los Angeles/Orange County area know how lucky you are to have someone like Jed the Fish on the airwaves.  He holds down the #1-rated drivetime show in Los Angeles from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. on the World Famous KROQ (106.7 FM) every weekday, where he does his infamous "Catch of the Day" at 4:40 p.m.  I never miss a "Catch of the Day" when I'm in L.A. because that's where new releases get debuted, and it's a rarity for a DJ in this corporate day and age to be able to hand-pick even one song during his shift.  In another gravity-defying stunt, Jed has been with KROQ since 1978.

Jed the Fish is also the host of "Out of Order," a syndicated weekly top-20 countdown of modern rock songs played in no particular order.  Features the Catch of the Day, Time Warp, and Foreign Exchange.  Check your local listings...

Trivia:

Sublime was banned from the KROQ studios for smoking joints and drinking tequila shots during an on-air interview with Jed the Fish.

Rafael Perez Transcripts

In August 1998, LAPD Officer Rafael Perez was arrested for stealing cocaine from an evidence room.  But in what would come to be known as the Rampart Scandal, Perez cut an immunity deal with the D.A. and rolled over on 70 of his fellow officers, implicating them for corruption.  When he was done talking, his "confessions" were 50 hours and 2,000 transcript pages long.  Those pages are posted on the Internet for all to read.  Just keep in mind that very little of what Perez says here can be proven, and he failed all five of his polygraph (lie detector) tests.

Danny Roew

I can barely keep up with how many websites my friend and former roommate Danny Roew has.

Loveline

Two hours of sex, drugs, rock and roll, and relationships, hosted by the funniest man on the planet, Adam Carolla.  Plus, the intelligent Dr. Drew backs him up.  Sundays through Thursdays, 10pm - midnight Pacific Time.

KROQ-FM, 106.7

World famous KROQ, home of Jed the Fish ("Catch of the Day," "Out of Order"), Kevin & Bean (morning show), "Loveline" (Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew), and Jason Bentley ("After Hours").  This station is highly influental, and sets many of the trends for radio nationwide.

KNRK-FM, 94.7

I've been listening to this Portland station since it first came on the air in 1994.  They are my connection to the wonderful world of "Loveline" when I am away from L.A.

Become a Reverend

Few people know that I am a legally ordained minister.  I can marry and bury people, and all I had to do was fill out a form on the Internet...

Darwin Awards

Everyone knows that people are stupid, but some of them manage to remove themselves from of the gene pool before reproducing, thereby doing society a favor.  These accounts are usually pretty humorous.
