Todd came to Chapman University from Portland, Oregon as a Film Production major in 1998. He excelled both in classes and on film crews, having the pleasure of working side-by-side with some of the best filmmakers Chapman has to offer.

Operating off a colorful palette of interests, Todd was RPM Director for Chapman University's KNAB-FM for three semesters, and made waves co-hosting a show notoriously known as "T-Time" with fellow film student Todd Luoto.

After writing several feature-length and short screenplays as well as crewing on a myriad of student films, Todd branched off to write a stage play ("The Image-Conscious War Zone") and direct another ("Death of a Salesman," a multi-media comedy by Todd K. Luoto) for Chapman University in May 2001.

Todd got his start in producing films on Crandall Miller's "Donald Juan," which was nominated for Chapman University's 2001 "Best Picture" Award.  He was also awarded Cinetech's 2001 "Most Promising Filmmaker" grant of $5,000, which he used to fund "Welcome To My Mind."

"Welcome To My Mind" is a short script that was originally a semi-finalist for Location Filmmaking at Chapman in Fall 2000 and went on to serve as his senior thesis.  It was shot on 16-mm film in July and August of 2001, coming in $200 under budget.

Rounding out a hectic Fall semester in which he produced two more films and oversaw post-production on his own project, Todd produced David Malki's 2002 Interterm film "Accusation" in January.  The film won the Cecil B. DeMille Best Picture Award for 2002.

Most recently, his feature-length comedy "Defective Miller" advanced to the quarter-finals in the 10th Annual Writer's Network Screenplay & Fiction Competition.

Todd currently lives in Culver City, and is a Level 2 student in Krav Maga, the official self defense system of the Israeli Special Forces, at their National Training Center in West Los Angeles.  He has just finished writing a novel, and is currently producing a short action comedy he co-wrote with David Malki.
